SAID Uganda: Promoting Hope, Fairness, and Inclusion
SAID Uganda. was established in April 2015 and began its official operations in 2017, with a focus on addressing the challenges faced by women, children, youth, the elderly, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. These communities often struggle with issues such as exploitation, food insecurity, poverty, unemployment, child labor, and inadequate health services.
Vision: “Creating a World of Hope, Fairness, and Inclusion to Attain Holistic Development.”
Mission: “To Empower Women, Youth, and Other Marginalized People to Effectively Manage their Social and Economic Development Processes.”
Recognizing that poverty remains a pervasive issue in Uganda, particularly in the Rubirizi district, SAID Uganda focuses on empowering these groups, with an emphasis on women and youth who make up 62% of those affected by poverty in the country. The organization’s approach involves fostering community engagement through collective efforts, encouraging people to work together to actively participate in their socio-economic development.
SAID Uganda’s work is guided by core values of Excellence, Accountability, Integrity, Inclusiveness and Volunteerism. These principles drive their commitment to achieving both organizational and programmatic goals, striving for a future where every community member can thrive.
