THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Welcome to SAID Uganda! We invite you to join us on our journey of community empowerment. As Socrates wisely said, “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old but on building the new.” Together, through your dedication and efforts, we will continue to rise and shine, leading the noble task of community development. To keep pace with the world's advancing technological, environmental, social, and economic needs, we must translate our intentions into actions. In Uganda, a significant challenge persists: many youths and women complete their formal education without acquiring employable skills. This gap contributes to the growing poverty levels, a global issue that demands united solutions to uplift these vulnerable groups. At SAID Uganda, we recognize that poverty remains a widespread issue in our communities, disproportionately affecting women, girls, and youth, who constitute 62% of those impacted. This reality shapes our strategic planning and programmatic efforts, guiding us toward making meaningful change.

As we continue our journey, let us embrace the principles of hard work, resilience, commitment, unity, and inclusion. These values will empower us to champion the socio-economic development agenda effectively. I urge all staff, supporters, and community development professionals to strive towards "enabling, engaging, and equipping everyone" to collaborate and attain a fulfilled life—a vision we all share.
